The Museum of the East is a major cultural and educational center founded in 1918, holding an exceptional collection of artifacts representing the art and cultural heritage of the peoples of the Far and Middle East, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the Far North. With approximately 150,000 items, the museum features over 5,000 exhibits in its permanent collection, including sculpture, paintings, graphics, decorative and applied arts, weaponry, and archaeological finds. The museum offers exhibitions, tours, lectures, concerts, and film screenings while featuring a tea room, workshops in Eastern studies, and ikebana art. Located in Moscow, the museum is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich tapestry of Eastern cultural history.
